Terms & Conditions

Special Terms, Conditions & Guidelines during COVID -19

Nordic Art Society is perfectly aware of the complicated situation we all go through due to this pandemic. First of all, we hope that all of you and your loved ones are well, and we trust that by the time we resume our activities in Fall 2021 the situation will be stabilized and we can develop our workshops with relative normality. Our intention is to make this situation as easy as possible within our possibilities. We have made the following decisions regarding this complicated situation:

  • 100% refund in the event that a cancellation is due to COVID-19. The reasons considered in this case are: quarantines, lockdowns, border closures, infection of the participant or a close relative. All these reasons must be sufficiently proven in order to have access to a 100% refund. You will also have the option to use your payment as credit towards a future workshop. Please observe that we will be able to refund your workshop fee. Also, please do not forget to get a proper travel insurance that will cover your other expenses such as flights, hotels and so on in case we need to cancel the workshop.

  • Safety guarantee. From our side, we guarantee that all necessary measures and all recommendations will be taken in order to make our workshops a safe experience. We have instituted social distancing and hygiene practices in accordance with the recommended guidelines by the Swedish authorities.

  • Additional measures. If necessary, additional mandatory measures may be established, such as the use of masks, hydroalcoholic gel and so on.

  • Flexibility of program and activities. All activities will be subject to being adapted to optimal safety conditions for everyone.

HEALTH & SAFETY

Your safety and well-being are most important to us and we would not risk your health at any circumstances.

You are therefor welcome to join our workshops as long as you feel well and healthy and don’t have any signs of illness. Also you should not have been in contact to anyone showing signs of illness prior to the workshop.

We are continously following all recommendations by the Swedish Health Department and their standards.

PAYMENTS

Upon registration, we require the total cost of your workshop. Payment confirms your reservation. However, if you don’t have the possibility to pay all at once, please contact us and we will arrange a payment plan. Participants are not guaranteed a spot in any workshop without a paid deposit. Your full balance is due 12 weeks before start date.

For bookings made less than 12 weeks in advance of the start of the art retreat, the full amount must be paid at the time of the booking.

CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS

If payment is not received by that 12-week date, Nordic Art Society reserves the right to give notice in writing that the reservation is cancelled and €500 will not be refunded.

For cancellations made up to 8 weeks before a workshop or retreat start date a 50% refundable balance will be issued. Refund transaction fees will be deducted from the amount of the refund.

For cancellations made less than 8 weeks before the workshop or retreat start date, no refunds will be issued.

CANCELLATION AND SUBSTITUTIONS

We reserve the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient registration up to 3 months before planned workshop. We reserve the right to substitute another qualified instructor and/or amend any workshop in the event of unforeseen circumstances at any time.

If for any reason the workshop is cancelled by Nordic Art Society, the full payment will be 100% reimbursed immediately.  We only refund our own workshop or retreat fees; we do not refund the cost of travel or other third-party costs.
